What is Happening in the Interior?    

  • The kitchen is the most important area in your house.
    The design and layout of your kitchen will impact on how functional the space is and what occurs around it.
    Think about the type of meals you cook, the family make
    -up.
  • Kitchens are bigger with more storage space for a variety of appliances, ito suit our lifestyle.
  • Island benches are large preparation and storage areas.
  • Kitchens have opened up and now has pull-out drawers instead of doors.
    Take care in choosing the right bar stools.
  • We now have less formal lounge and dining rooms.
    Family rooms within the kitchen dining area, now open up with folding doors to use the outdoor room.
  • Showers are walk-in and are level with the floor .
    The floor surfaces flow into the shower base to make ease in getting into the shower, particularly for the mature person!
  • Lighting flows form the kitchen to the living area to the outside to create an ambiance!

 

            

Outside & inside Entertaining

  • The outdoor room is an extension of the kitchen and outdoor area.
  • Colours and materials seamlessly flow from indoors to outdoors.
  • A generous paved area is perfect for outdoor entertaining and living, let alone sun baking or reading a book in a comfortable sun-lounge.
  • Covered BBQ’s areas is perfect for all round cooking.
  • The family room is open to the kitchen and now has large T-V screens mounted on the wall.
  • Use planting to add texture and borrow the surrounding neighbours treescape!
  • Focal points such as urns can be lit up at night! - to add a water feature would be the outside ultimate for entertaining luxury,
  • Think of cleaning your BBQ or even buy a new one.
  • There are plenty of braziers you can purchase and have a look at your outdoor furniture and chairs.
  • There are some great outdoor furniture on my website including butterfly chairs and market umbrellas
  • Spring is the time that your clean out your cupboards and re-organize everything! Even change over your winter wardrobe to your Spring/Summer wardrobe.
  • Think of moving your furniture around and create an atmosphere of bringing the outside into the inside.
  • Change the flywire to some fresh new wire and clean all your windows.
  • Plant some pots with annuals and make a feature of them that you can view from a window.
  • Maybe change the colour of your cushions and add a throw rug over your sofa!
    • October is the month for planting, plants will make maximum growth
    • Firstly check your dripper system to see if it is fully operating.
    • Tip prune flowering shrubs & prune citrus trees, renew with mulch and feed with citrus food.
    • Spray fruiting trees every two weeks
    • Prune frost damaged parts of plants
    • Divide and repot orchids into fresh orchid potting mix.
    • Plant climbing plants like bougainvillea, they are very colourful in summer and last well in drought conditions.
    • ·Plant basil, coriander and other herbs
    • Prune spring flowering and heritage roses after flowering.
    • Feed bulbs that have started dying down
    • Trim hedges and topiaries
    • Mulch all your garden well to 75mm-100mm depth and add liquid fertilizer before hand, and water in well before adding mulch.
    • Feed your vegetable garden and mulch, mulch, mulch!
    • Deep watering will not only encourage deeper root systems, but will increase drought tolerance or your plants.
